In Rowlette Park, Tampa Florida, the courts got a much needed facelift thanks to Paul & Patrick Stinson and Boy Scout
Troop 53. Patrick needed to perform a community project as part of his Eagle Scout requirement and Rowlette Park was
the lucky beneficiary. Not only did they paint the courts and the lines but they also fixed up the picnic tables, added
mulch to the area, and repainted the lines in the parking lot.

EKTELON FIREBALLS MAKE GREAT EYEBALLS
Well, if you live where it snows, you either head indoors, or your racquetball season is over until everything thaws out
and dries up! Might as well put those Ektelon Fireballs to good use for snowman eyeballs! Or, throw in some green,
purple, or blue Ektelon racquetballs for some crazy looking snowman eyes!
IMPORTANT NEW UPDATES IN THE WORLD OF WOR
There is a new system to break any ties for "National Team" recognition at the end of the year. If 2 players have the identical
number of points, then whoever won the highest level event will be on the National Team for that division. For example; If someone
earns 700 points at the RBW-WOR Championships, that would beat earning 500 points winning a Super Series event, plus 200
winning a shootout. If there is still a tie, the next highest level wins, and so on. The 50+ Mens Doubles has been combined with the
100+ Centurian Doubles, where partners combined age must add up to 100 or more.
AHHH . . . A NEW SPLAT SHOT
Nothing could make your day better while sitting in that boring cubicle at work than a fresh new Splat Shot pic! We'll just call this

2009 SEOUL OUTDOOR DOUBLES TOURNAMENT
First, Korea had an exhibition game in Kunsan in April of 2009, which had an overwhelming response from Korean
racquetball players. Mr. Cho, the president of Seoul Racquetball Club thought outdoor courts could be the answer to
not having many courts in Korea due to real estate costs. After the exhibition, a WOR-Ektelon Doubles event was held
on the portable courts! They are now looking forward to having more tourny's and an international event in the near future.
Mr. Cho's dedication to the sport is what made it possible to have the courts built and the tournament possible.

Thanks to the efforts of Keith Brown, WOR will be adding Chicago area events next season to the schedule. Brown, an avid indoor player

PK CHAMPIONSHIPS & WARM UPS MOVED TO NEW LOCATION
The PK CHAMPIONSHIPS set for Nov. 13-15 and EKETELON TROPICAL WARM UPS for Oct. 17th-18th have moved to the 12
awesome courts in Boca Raton where the Silver Cash Classic was held. This will be a HUGE event with 200+ players expected.

RHONDA CONTINUES TO DOMINATE INDOOR
Rhonda Rajsich was on another roll this past weekend in Tijuana, Mexico for the Mexico Open. Rhonda as always used her
superior athleticism and diving skills to blaze onto the finals for another victory. What is so inspiring is her continuous dedication
to improving shot selection and incorporating a passing game against her opponents all the while remaining the #1 player
in the world.
In the semi’s Rhonda had a comeback performance against her opponent which landed her in the finals against
fellow teammate Paola Longoria. Paola had an awesome tournament, upsetting the #2 seed in the quarters and an exciting
semi-final win to make it to the finals. Rhonda and Paola had a tough five game match with Rhonda down 7-0 in the 5th. She
came back 12-10 to win!
Could it be the Rhonda and Paola show in the finals this season? Stay tuned as Team Ektelon
dominates the WPRO Tour!

Ektelon is proud to announce that the California State Racquetball Association (CSRA) has chosen Ektelon Racquetballs to be the
“Official Ball of the CSRA” effective immediately and continuing through August 31, 2012. CSRA has chosen the Ektelon Classic (black)
as its ball for tournament play but all 3 Ektelon balls will be used throughout the term of this agreement. Over the past three years Ektelon

RHONDA WINS FIRST STOP ON WPRO TOUR
The WPRO schedule got underway September 12-14, 2008 in Fayetteville, NC with the Outback Steakhouse Blast. #1 WPRO player
Rhonda Rajsich kicked off the season with a solid victory! Rhonda defeated Cheryl Gudinas-Holmes in three straight games
(11-7) (11-8) (11-4). Congrats on her win after her injury! Hope to see her outdoor again soon!
RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY FOR NEW COURTS IN FLORIDA
Eustis, Florida just North of Orlando, built 6 new courts and will have a special ribbon cutting ceremony attended by WOR's Vic
Leibofsky and Angel Calderon. The new outdoor courts (40’L x 20’W x 20’H) have Musco lighting and a new restroom facility
adjacent. There are also shade pavilions, picnic benches, tennis courts, etc.
BOYSCOUTS TROOP 317 RACQUETBALL LEAGUE
The photos are from Rob Mijares son's Boy Scout Troop 317. A group of 7 boys meet him at a community park in Cooper City, FL
that has 4 long wall courts. The boys are 11 to 16 years of age. This was their first experience with racquetball. They are using
racquetball as one of two sports required for the Sports Merit Badge, which requires them to learn two sports for 4 months.
